Composting
Left over food and garden waste like grass cuttings fills around 20% of the average household bin. arc21 will be introducing a third bin to suitable households for biodegradable waste. Householders will be required to separate this waste and put it in the right bin.

Houses that don't get a bin could try home composting. Some councils provide home composters at reduced rates - or buy one from your local garden centre.

Garden waste will also be taken at the new recycling centres to be introduced throughout the region.
