Bribery Act Policy

The Bribery Act 2010 came into force on 1st July 2011 and is designed to reform existing legislation and strengthen UK laws specifically to ensure compliance with the OECD Convention on combating Bribery which was ratified in 1998.

A formal Policy Statement and associated procedures have been developed by arc21 in line with the Ministry of Justice guidance.

These cover all the activities of arc21 and therefore apply to Members who have been nominated to serve on the Joint Committee by their respective councils, staff (permanent and temporary), contractors and agents.
