SMEs and SEEs

arc21 recognises the importance of Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Social Economy Enterprises (SEEs) both for the contribution they make to the economy of Northern Ireland and to public procurement in general.

arc21 is keen to encourage SMEs/SEEs to compete for contracts.

With due regard to European procurement rules and UK public procurement regulations, arc21 will strive to ensure that local and smaller suppliers are not discriminated against in the procurement process or specifications.

As a means of increasing their knowledge, understanding and capability to compete successfully, arc21 would refer SMEs and SEEs to the relevant guidance document produced by the Central Procurement Directorate, DFP, on behalf of the Procurement Board.
